Privacy policy
This policy explains what Slowfast LLC, which runs liquidMath (“we”, “us”), collects about you, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. It covers the liquidMath app, this website and the liquidMath app for Shopify. In short: we collect what we need to run liquidMath, we don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use advertising or analytics trackers.
1. What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address, and your profile picture if you sign in with Google; the organizations you belong to and your role in each. Sign-in codes are sent and checked by Clerk, our sign-in provider. There are no passwords.
- What your organization puts in liquidMath: formulas, materials, suppliers and their contact details, lots and their certificates, product photos, batches, stock, costs and prices, purchase orders, sales and settings, and a log of who changed what and when.
- From Shopify, if you connect a shop: the shop’s myshopify.com address and its currency; its products and variants (titles, SKUs, prices and images); its locations and inventory levels; and for orders, refunds and fulfillments, their IDs, the products and quantities, and when they happened. We don’t keep your shop’s customers’ names, emails, addresses or payment details.
- Billing: Stripe handles payments. We keep your Stripe customer ID, plan, billing period and subscription status. We never see or store your card number.
- Technical information: our hosting and sign-in providers record IP addresses, browser and device details, the pages requested and errors, which we use to run and protect liquidMath.
- Messages you send us.
- Links in our emails: if we email you about liquidMath, each link in it is made for you. When you open one, we note when you opened it and which browser you used. That tells us the email reached you.
Product photos are stored at a public, hard-to-guess web address, like the images on a website, so don’t upload anything confidential as a product photo.
The free formula calculator runs in your browser. It keeps your formula in your browser’s own storage, and a link you share carries the formula after the # in the address, a part browsers don’t send to us. We never receive it.
2. How we use it
- To run liquidMath: sign you in, keep and calculate your records, sync with Shopify, and send the email liquidMath sends, such as sign-in codes, invitations to your team and the purchase orders you send to suppliers.
- To bill you, through Stripe.
- To answer you and give support.
- To keep liquidMath secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To tell you about your account, your subscription, and changes to liquidMath or these policies.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don’t sell or rent personal information, share it for advertising, or use advertising or analytics cookies. We look at your organization’s records only when you ask for help, to keep liquidMath working and secure, or when the law requires it.
5. Signing in with Google
If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to create your account, sign you in and show your organization’s members who you are, and we don’t share them with anyone else beyond Clerk, our sign-in provider. Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
6. Where it’s stored
liquidMath’s data is stored and processed in the United States. If you use liquidMath from elsewhere, your information is transferred to the United States, where data protection law may differ from yours. We rely on our providers’ safeguards for these transfers, such as the EU’s standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- For as long as your account and organization are open.
- When an organization is closed, its records, files and change log are deleted 30 days later. Backups that contain them are replaced within 7 days after that.
- Stock and batch records can’t be erased one at a time while an organization is open: a correction is recorded as a new entry, so the history stays true. Closing the organization deletes them all.
- If you uninstall the liquidMath app from Shopify, syncing stops at once, and the shop’s connection, product list and links are deleted when Shopify asks us to, 48 hours later. Sales already recorded stay with your organization’s records.
- When your sign-in account is deleted, Clerk deletes your account details. Your name can stay in your organization’s change log, which records who did what.
- Stripe keeps billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Our providers keep technical logs for a short time, as their own policies set out.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. The database itself keeps each organization’s records apart, every member’s access follows their role, and a connected shop’s access token is stored encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
9. Your choices and rights
- See and correct your records in the app. Owners and admins manage the organization’s members.
- Export: reports, stock movements and lot traces download as CSV files. Ask us for a full copy of your organization’s data.
- Delete: email us to delete your sign-in account or to close your organization.
- Ask about anything here at support@liquidmath.com. We reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, the UK or California, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or move your information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. We won’t treat you differently for using them. Under EU and UK law, we use your information to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interest in running and securing liquidMath, with your consent where we ask for it, or to meet a legal obligation.
10. Information about other people
Your records can include other people’s information, such as your team’s and your suppliers’ contact details. For that information your organization decides what is kept and why, and we handle it on your behalf under these policies. Make sure you’re allowed to share it with us.
11. Children
liquidMath is for businesses and isn’t meant for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children; if you think we have, tell us and we’ll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We’ll post any update here with its date, and tell you by email or in the app before a significant change applies. See also our Terms of service.
